The Goods

Mornin' Haterz

Here are some dope mashups to get you through to the day before the weekend....

White Panda (White Town X Dorrough)-Your Woman

something i love about the dark undertone of the beat mixed with Dorrough's dumb ass lines..clean on the outside.

DOSVEC-Stuntin' Dog Days

self explanatory I think...Florence X Lil Wayne and Birdman...diggin this track because they maintain the original Dog Days track, a real mashup up. no fake drum kits or anything. awesome..

DOSVEC-Feeling Good

(Flo Rida // The Black Eyed Peas // Taio Cruz // Lady Gaga // Justin Timberlake // The Ting Tings // Ellie Goulding // The Cardigans // Edward Maya // Vika Jigulina)”---generally not a fan of these mega-mashups, if you will but this one is pretty damn good. THATS MY NAME!

The White Panda (Wale X Dillon Francis)- G.O.O.D.G.I.R.L.S

very sick track...number one on hype and for good reason.

TheHoodInternet-Big Sean X Wolfgang Gartner

MADEON LIVE MASHUP

if you cant tell by the back of his head this kids 17 looks 12 is a beast.

Monday Mash-ups

Whats up haters. Happy Halloween and all that jazz. For some reason I'm feeling Mash-ups today after digging through my library and finding some gems, new and old that I'm feeling right now. And like the phrase ingrained in the brain of everyone my age, Sharing is caring so here ya go.

1. Suicidal Thoughts Runaway by White Lotus
This is Ill. Not much more to say than that except I really wish that Biggie could of been around longer for collaborations like this to continue. R.I.P. 9.5/10

DOWNLOAD

2. Ghosts Over Baghdad by DJ Ellipsis
Kind of appropriate for the official end of the iraq war a few weeks ago. Check out this one. Makes Ghosts n Stuff more appropriate for various groups by adding some dope vocals from Outkast. 8.5/10 (wee bit short)

DOWNLOAD

3. Stronger Toys by Dotcom
Cool mash-up by Dotcom combining David Guetta's take on Daft Punk with Kanye's Stronger. Much better than the the first Stronger by Kanye that came out a year or two ago. 8.5/10

DOWNLOAD
4. You got the Penguin by DJ Lee Morrison
Found this one in my Library a few weeks back and immediatly remembered where I had heard it before. Avicii himself has been dropping this one, as well as international superstars like Swedish House Mafia, Guetta and Tiesto. This ones good. Festival Tune.  9.5/10

DOWNLOAD

Four tracks is a good start for the day.

Mashy's and Potato's

Alright, I have been out for a few days but the music has not stopped. Love it. Here are a couple of Mashup's that may tantalize your visceral tasted buds.

Lupe Ft. Ellie Goulding and Bassnectar not sure if its a mashup, don't recall lupe's verse from another song, but this track has been remixed so many times I am calling it one.
Lupe Fiasco feat. Ellie Goulding & Bassnectar - Lightwork
Jay-Z Ft. Adele-Pray (Urban Noize Remix)  sick, sounds like it could be an original off an album like reasonable doubt or something.
Jay-Z - Pray (Urban Noize Remix) [feat. Maxwell]
Bob Marley vs. MGMT-I Wanna Know Now (Xaphoon Jones Remix) absolutely one of my all time FAVORITES
I Wanna Know Now - Xaphoon Jones Remix MGMT amp Bob Marley
BRENTON DUVALL Ft. NEON HITCH, WIZ KHALIFA-SILLY GIRL How did I not see this sooner? Very dope mix. Brenton is not techinically a mashup artist in my opinion though.
SILLY GIRL (BRENTON DUVALL REMIX w/ WIZ KHALIFA) - NEON HITCH by BrentonRules

Enjoi those few for now.

Hyundai RE:GENERATION

For all you techno/house-heads CHECK THIS OUT!! Hyundai has partnered with the a few the hottest and most influential DJ's on the scene right now to promote their latest vehicle (the Veloster?)

The roster includes Pretty Lights, SKRILLEX, DJ Premier, Crystal Method, aaaaand Mark Ronson! One of my personal favorites. This is an unbelievable lineup but the catch is where it's at. Each DJ is going to be partnered with a different style of music from SKRILLEX + Rock (with The Doors!), to DJ Premier + Classical (with the Berklee Symphony Orchestra). The lineup also includes Jazz and Country and a lineup of collaborators including Nas, Erykah Badu, and Leann Rimes.

Definitely worth a look.

A Little Bit of this and a Little Bit of That

Happy Friday (again wow). We had a great week here at WDH.

Willow Smith Ft. Nicki Minaj- FireBall

Follow up banger from her previous "Whip My Hair". Hopefully the dirt squirrels go as crazy when this song comes on.

Lana Del Rey- Blue Jeans (PatrickReza Dubstep Remix)

Lana Del Rey keep popping up on my Hypem trending page. Listened to a few tracks and could appreciate the vocals but the instrumentals were a little slow for me. Then I saw this dubstep remix hulking near the top of the Top Ten page and I figured it was probably gonna be a banger (hypem rarely lies). it is...

Dirty Gold- California Sunrise

Alright so I know this track is kind of old and maybe a little over-remixed, but the original just gets to me every time. I got a BONUS for you haters on this track. When I was on HillyDilly getting the DL link for this song I saw this:

 Scarub- California Sunrise Remix

Nas Ft. Kool G Rap- Fast Life

Got hooked to this track over the summer. Love the synthy beat and Kool comes in with some classic hook heat.

Video Tapez- Amplive Ft. Del Tha Funky Homosapien

This track brings me way back (ha) to freshman year chilling in Hanson Dormitory. Cool Radiohead sample slash mashup. Del Tha Funky Homosapien or Deltron 3030 is one highly underrated. He appeared on the Gorillaz Clint Eastwood(yeah hes that dope rapper on that track).

Long post is Loooooooooong

I've been on a hiatus lately from posting, and theres no excuse for that. But I do come bringing gifts. Here's my personal picks for the week. I'm bringing old, new, and just plain cool to your music library this week. This is Chris' Picx part 2. Enjoy.

First up, a new twist on a golden oldie by Boston, Long Time. Anger Dimas and Static Revenger to thank for this amazing track.

Angger Dimas & Static Revenger - Long Time 2010 (Original Mix).mp3

Next. A great track that gives you everything to like about Wolfgang Gartner in one song. Created by a guy who goes by the name Prototype Raptor (best.name.ever.), this is one to immediately add to your library.

Everyone knows the name if not the music of Jefferson Airplane, especially this song. With that in mind, I stumbled upon this yesterday on soundcloud. Its filthy sounding dubstep. Completely not what I was expecting. Wild.

Next is a rare thing from me, a preview of a track. I usually wait until the full song is released, but I can't this time, its too good already not to know about it. Real chill remix by Minnesota, one of the few that can create dubstep that lowers your pulse instead of making you go crazy. Great work once again. Loving the vocals on this one.

Shotgun Radio - A Bad Place feat. Mimi Page (Minnesota Remix) (FORTHCOMING SIMPLIFY) by Minnesota

The first mash-up of this post, and its a doozie. Combining Calvin Harris and Arty for a soft house track that is greta for driving or just chillin out. Here ya go, its called Feels so Close to Kate.

Next mash-up needs no explination. Knife Party, Skrillex, Feed Me. Yeah. Have Fun.

Feed Me vs. Knife Party vs. Skrillex - My Pink Reptile Party (Maluu's Slice'n'Diced Mashup) by Maluu

Watch the Throne came out, sold out and now we're onto the stage of remixing tracks from the album. Usually rap and dubstep don't go well together, heres one that does. Great mixing by Voodoo Farm, just enough to change the song but keep the integrity of what it was before.

Jay-Z & Kanye West - Niggas In Paris (VOODOO FARM DUBSTEP REMIX) by VOODOO FARM

Marvelous Mashups!!!

So here are a few new mashups that I have been digging over the past couple days.  The first is the new White Panda which mashes Tom Petty and Biggie which turns out to be a nice chill track.  The second one is a mash of all kinds of shit, it's by Childz Play who are up and comers in the genre, its not necessarily a party tune but its something you could probably rock late night to keep the party atmosphere level.  The third is a collab between Yoni and DJ Dibella which consists of Cobra Starship, Dev, DallasK, and Jasper Forks.

Mashup Mania

Alright so it's not a mania but I'm trying to fit in a post before practice starts and I've heard two mashups today that have made my ears happy. The first is by Newcomers and the second is from seasoned vets 5 & A Dime.

DL Link for 5 & Dime, Cracked Promises: http://www.hulkshare.com/7w4smt6nbx3u

Vamos A Los Levels - The Friendly Giant

Mash of two of the hottest basement jams in a while creates one of the hottest basement jams of the year for sure.  Just pure rage your face off music.  The Friendly Giant has been on the scene for a while and I put them up there with the best of them in the mashup category.

New Shit

Here we go, week two of Haterade and to start if off heres some gems from me to start your monday off right.

First up, Justice. This sounds like Daft Punk of old. No drop on this one but if it doesn't get you tapping your foot, theres something wrong with you. Great work as always.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tQsliLK5Uc

Next up is something by James Blake, remixed by Deniz Koyo and Johan Wendel. These guys have taken James Blake usually softer feel good tunes and turned it into a hard hitting banger for an situation to get you blood pressure up and people jumping around. This is a definite download. Clink on the DL to hear a listen of the song.

http://www38.zippyshare.com/v/49638248/file.html

Next up is some wobbing dubstep. This is some heavy stuff be warned. Kill the Noise doesn't mess around. As expected of a Robyn song, the great vocals coupled with dubstep are a great mix.

http://soundowl.com/track/1pey/rye-rye-feat-robyn-never-will-be-mine-kill-the-noise-remix

This is the best remix of beast mode I've heard. Electro House remixing at its best. It keeps all the ill vocals and throws a sick synth and drop under the verses for an epic mix. Check it out.

B.o.B-Beast Mode (DJ Fox Remix) by DJ-Fox

Last, The King of House, Tiesto. Its called Maximal Crazy. he released it about a week ago. Not bad from him, one of those songs that you can really only enjoy at a live performance, normal speakers aren't good enough. But enough criticism, this is damn good. Download this and throw it into your house party playlist.

Dotcom-Don't Wanna Talk Dirty (Yes I Do)

So I was fucking around on turntable.fm the other day in the mashup rooms and came across someone who really caught my eye.  His names Chris Comstock but he goes by Dotcom in the music world.  He attends Saint Joe's University and has been mashing since late 2010 and I'm looking for big things from him in the future.

Don't Wanna Talk Dirty (Yes I Do) (Laidback Luke x Jason DeRulo x Sidney Samson) by Dotcom

Here's a little bonus track he just released with abSRD which adds a nice vocal touch to the banger Sunshine by David Guetta and Avicii.  It's not up on soundcloud yet so I'll just hit you with the dl link, its worth the download.
